Gators in the NFL: Week Six

There were 18 former Florida players active during week six of the NFL and 10 of them earned a start.

Carlos Dunlap started at defensive end for the Cincinnati Bengals and had a forced fumble, five tackles, two tackles for a loss, one sack and a quarterback hit. Reggie Nelson started at free safety and had three solo tackles, plus one tackle and one assist on special teams.

Riley Cooper started at wide receiver for the Philadelphia Eagles and had four catches for a team-high 120 yards. He caught a 47-yard touchdown that went as the longest career pass for quarterback Nick Foles.

Major Wright started at strong safety for the Chicago Bears and led the team with 10 tackles. Jon Bostic saw time at linebacker and had one assisted tackle.

Jordan Reed saw time at tight end for the Washington Redskins and had four catches for 58 yards.

Matt Elam started at free safety for the Baltimore Ravens and had eight tackles, including three solo tackles.

Sharrif Floyd saw time at defensive tackle for the Minnesota Vikings and made two solo tackles, one quarterback hit and one sack.

Janoris Jenkins started at cornerback for the St. Louis Rams, making three tackles, one interception, one sack, one pass deflection and one quarterback hit.

Joe Haden started at cornerback for the Cleveland Browns and made four tackles with one pass breakup.

Jeff Demps saw time at running back for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and made two catches for 13 yards, adding one kickoff for 24 yards.

Brandon Spikes started at linebacker for the New England Patriots and made five tackles.

Andre Caldwell saw time at receiver for the Denver Broncos and made one catch for seven yards, adding a carry for seven yards.

Will Hill saw time at safety for the New York Giants and made five solo tackles.

Josh Evans started his third straight game at safety for the Jacksonville Jaguars, totaling four tackles.

David Nelson saw time at receiver for the New York Jets and made one catch for 11 yards.

Marcus Gilbert started at right tackle for the Pittsburgh Steelers in week six.
