"Adams is much more of a play maker for his team than he has been in year's past, as he is more involved on the offensive side of the ball," Powers said of the star. "He has always been excellent in coverage and possesses all the skills you want to see in a defensive back. He has quick feet, great closing speed and aggressiveness. He will come up and lay a hit, but at times he could be a more sound tackler."
The Gators have long been a big player for Adams and Powers is still seeing that at this point.
"Not ruling out any possibility, I think Florida sits in a good spot and the process looks like it could be winding down soon for Adams," our analyst said. "He has that strong, often mentioned relationship with Joker Phillips and I think he could be a player that can come in there and make an early impact.
"He has also taken visits to Ole Miss and Texas A&M and has a visit scheduled to Texas. Texas sits with the last trip, so that is an interesting point of concern if you are a Gator fan, but as of today I would still put UF out in front of UT, Ole Miss and Texas A&M in that order."
The Gators are looking to take just one pure safety in the class. They would like Adams to be that guy.
Stay tuned as we continue with our experts' opinions on other big time uncommitted prospects still looking at the university of Florida.
