Gators place two on preseason All-SEC team

The Southeastern Conference released its coaches' preseason All-SEC teams on Friday morning just before many teams in the league tipped off to start their seasons. Florida put two returning starters on the list, but Kentucky led the league with five selections.

Florida center Patric Young was placed on the First Team after being selected to the Second Team by the media last month. Young enters his senior season on Friday against North Florida with a streak of 111 straight games played.

Point guard Scottie Wilbekin was placed on the Second Team on the list, the same place the media voted him last month and where he was voted at the end of the 2012-13 season. Wilbekin will start the season suspended by head coach Billy Donovan for violating team rules in the offseason.

The Gators begin their season at 3 p.m. on Friday in the O'Connell Center when they host North Florida.
