Muschamp SEC teleconference transcript

Florida head coach Will Muschamp made his weekly appearance on the Southeastern Conference teleconference on Wednesday morning. The third-year head coach updated his team's injury report heading into this weekend's game against Florida State and his thoughts on second-year offensive coordinator Brent Pease.

OPENING STATEMENT: "We have good preparation for FSU here at noon at The Swamp.

"Injury-wise, Tyler Murphy is still questionable. He threw a little bit, and we'll see what he can do today. D.J. Humphries will be out. Jon Bullard moved around practice pretty good yesterday in some limited reps, but I think he'll be good to go. Marcus Roberson practiced well yesterday. Michael Taylor and Alex Anzalone are out. I'll open it up for any questions."

Q: How do you think Brent Pease has done as a play caller this year?

A: "Well again, I think when you lose three offensive tackles, two quarterbacks, a 1,000-yard rusher and a receiver, it makes it very difficult to call plays. Brent is a good play caller and an outstanding football coach. It has been frustrating for all of us, including him, with our production offensively this year."

Q: Has he been operating within the offensive philosophy you've been trying to accomplish since he came to Florida?

A: "Yeah, again, we want to do what we have to do to win games. That's what you need to do, and we haven't done that this year."
