Colorado, Duke, Oklahoma State and Oregon all lost games last week that caused them to fall behind Florida. However, Iowa State jumped Florida in both polls after starting the year with a 13-0 record.
The discrepancy in the polls that gives Florida separate rankings happens because of Louisville. The Cardinals are ranked No. 8 in the Coaches' Poll and No. 12 in the AP Poll.
The Gators started the 2013-14 season ranked as a top-10 team, and coach Billy Donovan laughed those off to start the season. Florida was dealing with injuries and suspensions that limited the roster at that point.
Now a top-10 team in the AP Poll, Donovan has seen growth out of his roster since laughing it off early in the year.
"I think we're a better team than we were in November and December," Donovan said. "I think we've gotten better. I still think we can improve from that point. Where we should be ranked, it's hard for me to say."
