Clark was feelin' the love

If you follow Florida 4-star defensive tackle Khairi Clark on Twitter, you know all about how he feels about his commitment to UF and the Florida fans. We caught up briefly with Clark after his recent official visit to Florida to share some of those thoughts with us.

Khairi Clark is a key prospect for the Florida Gators and what they want to do on defense. Florida hasn't been able to land a defensive tackle prospect with his size (6-2, 323) in a while and Clark has quickness defiant of his size as well. His early commitment has remained solid and that continued over the weekend the Hollywood (Fla.) Chaminade lineman visited officially.

"The trip overall for me was incredible," Clark said. "I didn't want to leave when it was time to go back home."

Since he first started visiting Gainesville, Clark has really just become enamored with the people and the players on the roster.

"The best part of the visit was being able to meet people that attend UF," he said. "I hung out with Jay-nard Bostwick, Marcell Harris, and Duke Dawson. All of the players were cool. They were telling me about how the system works at UF."

With everything going so well,. We asked what it is he likes best about being committed to Florida.

"What I like the best about being a Gator is being able to represent Florida and also being able to do what I do best in a great town like Gainesville," he said. "I also like how the coaching staff is straight honest with you with anything you ask them."
