Big three offers in for Cronkrite

The list is swelling for 2015 Miami (Fla.) Westminster Christian running back Jordan Cronkrite and now that list includes all three big Florida schools after the Florida Gators offered the big back a scholarship on Tuesday. Taking things in stride, Cronkrite has a lot of options before he enters his senior season.

Jordan Cronkrite understands the significance of college football in the state of Florida and was happy to get the offer from the Gators.

"It's nice to have the Big-3 in Florida all offered," he said by phone Wednesday. "I have always been a fan of the Gators since I started playing football."

After wanting two backs and settling for one in 2013, the Gators are on the hunt for two in 2014. They also need a back that can tote the ball in all situations and at 6-foot and 107 pounds and still in his junior year, that appears to be Cronkrite.

"I was on the phone with Coach White," Cronkrite said. "He talked about how they just watched my film and liked it. Coach Muschamp told me that he likes that I am an every down back. He said I would fit into the offense right now."

Georgia Tech was the first to offer back in the spring of 2012 and now there are too many offers to remember off of the top of his head. He is also keeping an open mind in the process without favorites, but will make some trips soon.

"I am wide open to everybody," he said. "Right now I am scheduled to go to Florida State's Junior Day on Feb 22. Hopefully I will make it to a Florida spring practice, depending on what my schedule is."

He thinks his strengths come from his ability to do a lot of different things on the football field and he knows that getting on the field early is something that will play a big factor on where he chooses to go to school.

"I guess you could say I am an every down back, but there is always room for improvement," he said. "I want to go to a place where I can play early and the best place to put me in the NFL."
