Hallback got all the attention

With the Florida Gators hosting a big Junior Day this weekend, the staff is in recruiting mode. Moore Haven (Fla.) running back Markeis Hallback took advantage of the situation, showed up a day early and got the royal treatment from the staff on Friday. Done with the trip, Hallback talked to us briefly about his time in Gainesville.

Being one of only maybe a couple of prospects in early for the Junior day festivities, Markeis Hallback got to spend time with much of the coaching staff at Florida including head coach Will Muschamp, running back coach Brian White, and his recruiting area coach Joker Phillips.

"It was good," Hallback said of the visit. "I went to each coach's office and talked to them. I went to Coach Muschamp's office too and talked to him. They told me they really like my speed."

Hallback stands with one offer from Florida International and the Gators are on him hard and want to see more of him this spring.

"They will wait till spring, Coach Phillips and Coach White will come and watch my Spring football game," he said about the Gators possibly offering.

Florida's strength coach Jeff Dillman seemed to make an impression on Hallback, he got to talk to Dillman several times during the two day trip.

"I liked the strength coach," Hallback said. "He is really crazy. He was crazy with me and everybody."

Hallback seemed to migrate toward running back Kelvin Taylor on the trip as well.

"I met Kelvin Taylor, Jeff Driskel and some others yesterday," the young back said. " Kelvin is from down my way, only about 30 minutes to Belle Glade and he was cool."

Stay tuned to Scout as we continue to follow the recruitment of Markies Hallback.
