last week, pushing the school-record winning streak to 19 games. The Gators finished the week with the road win at Ole Miss, holding guard Marshall Henderson
scoreless in the second half after he scored 22 points in the first half.
Benefitting the Gators in the polls was a two-loss week for formerly top-ranked Syracuse, who lost at home to Boston College before losing on the road at Duke.
This is the latest in the season that Florida has ever been ranked at the top of college basketball polls.
The Gators play at Vanderbilt on Tuesday at 7 p.m. before hosting LSU on Saturday. Florida can clinch a share of the Southeastern Conference title with a win in Nashville.
