"I went up to Junior Day and you can say I felt at home," Farrier told Scout.com. "I can see myself there for the next four years and the football program there is great. The University of Florida is just great. It is also close and most of my family is here in Florida. That would be another reason."
He says Sousa really didn't factor into the situation to commit to Florida.
"It is cool to have someone in high school to play with you in college, but I can't say he is the reason I chose Florida," Farrier said. "It was all me."
While other big time programs are continuing to court Farrier, he is happy with his decision. He says the Florida staff and other programs for that matter, like the potential he brings as a game breaker. That ability could have hom in the slot or on the outside."
"They liked my natural ability to catch the ball, stretch the field, and my potential," Farrier said. "I will play inside or outside, wherever I am needed."
He has a message for gator fans as well. He wants them to know he is an effort guy and will bring that attitude to Gainesville.
The fans can expect me to come in and work hard and make plays," he said.
