Orlando NFTC: Recruiting Notes

KISSIMMEE, Fla. - Get the latest on some of the best in the Sunshine State that attended the Orlando Nike Football Training Camp here...

  • Abdul Bello has only played half a football season and the Montverde Academy offensive tackle has double-digit offers. He has visited Florida and Florida State so far and he has interest in each in-state school. He is still open to all schools and he plans to take more visits this summer.

  • Scout 300 offensive tackle Christian Pellage hits the road this week. He is set to visit Alabama Monday, Vanderbilt Tuesday, Georgia Wednesday, and South Carolina Thursday. All four schools have offered. He currently has no leader.

  • Orlando, Fla. tight end Garrett Williams is scheduled to visit Stanford later this month and that will likely be his final visit before he announces his decision. Along with the Cardinal, Auburn, Clemson, and Florida State remain in the race. He is being recruited as an H-Back and tight end. He could have his decision before the end of March. If not, he likely will commit in early April.

  • Five-star George Campbell is a former Michigan commitment and he is still considering the Wolverines, but he is not thinking much about recruiting right now. He will hit the road some in the coming months, but he is not going to make a decision until we get closer to signing day. "So many" schools are recruiting him hard right now, but none are standing out he says.

  • Big wide receiver Kalif Jackson out of Neptune Beach has six offers now, but he will add more. Plenty of schools will put their eye on him during the spring evaluation period and Florida and Penn State are two of those. He is open to all right now and he is an academic kid, that is his focus when looking at a school.

  • Nate Craig is a freak athlete in the 2016 class out of Tampa Catholic. He has around 20 offers and he currently favors Clemson, Ohio State, and Tennessee.

  • Auburn leads for 2016 linebacker Shaquille Quarterman. He attended the Iron Bowl in 2013 and he had a great time there. Quarterman likes the coaches at Auburn and they relate to the sophomore well. Georgia, Michigan State, and Ohio State are others high on his list.

  • Chandler Cox is an SEC guy. When asked about his favorites, he said, "All the SEC schools that have offered." He hopes to get it down to five schools by the end of spring and he knows Alabama, Auburn, and Florida will be on that list.

  • Tennessee commit Cecil Cherry is going to visit other schools and the UT coaches are OK with that he says. They "encourage" him to see other places, but it will take a lot to draw him away from the Vols. He "loves" UT.

  • Scout 300 running back Dexter Williams thought about committing this weekend. "I was real close Friday," said Williams. He decided not to make the call, but it is still going through his mind. Florida and Ohio State are two schools high on his list with Georgia and others there as well.

  • The No. 1 prospect in the country never reveal much. Martez Ivey keeps to himself about recruiting, but he confirmed he likes Alabama, Auburn, and Florida. He has visited all three schools in 2014 and the odds are "high" that he and teammate Chandler Cox end up at the same school.
