"I want to see a competitive game, talk to the coaches and enjoy myself," he said before enjoying the day. "The coaches say that I could play offense or defense. They are telling me they don't know what my position should be in college. I am not sure yet."
He isn't sure, the Gators aren't and most of the schools are still trying to figure things out as well in terms of what position Hayward would play.
"LSU is recruiting me as a corner and a couple of more schools as well," he said. "Some schools are recruiting me as an athlete. It is a hard decision right now."
The Gators offer a little bit of everything Hayward is looking for in a program.
"I am hearing a lot of good stuff from Florida and other programs," Hayward said. "I am not trying to go too far from home, so that is why I am giving so much thought to Florida. I have been here a few times… for a couple of games and a camp."
Hayward also visited for Junior Day and knows more than most about the program.
"It is a great atmosphere, great school, and a great program," he said. "They take in kids and make them feel like part of the family. It isn't too far away from home and to me it is perfect."
