Florida will face no APR trouble

The release of APR scores from 2012-13 on Wednesday provided uneasy times for some programs. Florida wasn't one of them. All Florida sports programs passed with ease and weren't close to suffering any penalties.

The NCAA developed the APR format to attempt to project graduation rates and academic success of a program. Penalties begin when a score dips below 925 with additional penalties being added when it falls below 900.

There were two perfect scores. The Florida basketball and softball programs both posted a perfect 1,000 in the APR.

The Florida football program posted a 969, a one-point improvement from last year. The baseball program posted a 975, three points lower than last year.

Women's basketball, women's cross country, women's golf, gymnastics and women's soccer all posted an APR of 990 or higher.

The lowest Florida program was men's cross country at 944.
