4-star QB to visit Florida this weekend

The University of Florida football program begins camp season this coming weekend and one of the premiere offensive players in America will be in Gainesville. The camps are known to draw a lot of prospects in and a lot won't even work out when attending. Not the case for Moreno Valley (Calif.) Rancho Verde 4-star quarterback Sheriron Jones who is embracing the chance to work out in Gainesville.

The dual threat quarterback is the way that Florida has decided to headed on offense and Sheriron Jones is just the kind of target they are looking for at the position. At 6-foot-2 and 185 pounds, Jones has the heart of a lion on the field and the passion to perform at a high level on the football field.

"I want to win and I'll do whatever it takes to with even with two broken legs," Jones said in a conversation late Sunday. "I'm a great person and I will make the fans happy and show the fans respect and love."

Jones has respect for the Florida program and is bringing his game all the way from the west coast this weekend. "It's a great team and a great program," he said of the Gators.

The Florida staff also likes what they see in Jones and have let him know what they like.

"The way I play the game, my willingness to win, my leadership… I'm a great leader. "I'm a dual threat quarterback but I can stay in the pocket and pick apart the defense. If needed I can use my feet as well."

Sheriron Jones already has a ticket to commit to Florida with an offer, but wants to come out and be coached by Kurt Roper and the staff and see what the Gators can offer up in terms of coaching. It is a big time visit and a chance to help fill a huge spot in the 2015 class.
