Florida prep linebacker Derrick Graham continued his tour around the South on Sunday as he and his older brother P.J. took in Arkansas.
Graham (6-4, 220,4.6) left raving about what the Razorbacks had to offer and promising to come back for an official visit this fall to see more of what head coach Bret Bielema, defensive coordinator Robb Smith and linebacker coach Randy Shannon have in store for him.
"The visit to Arkansas went great," said Graham, who is a standout at Wauchula Hardee High School. "I can't say enough good things about it. I got a chance to visit with Coach B, Coach Robb Smith and Coach Shannon and talk about how they would use me – at the Sam (strong side linebacker) and some at the Will (weak side linebacker) - and how I could fit in their program.
"They also talked about how they were going to turn the program around and I truly believe that is going to happen in a year or so," Graham added. "I can see it happening.
"They also have great facilities from the weight room to the indoor facility to the stadium," Graham continued. "It all was just very impressive. I actually gave some thought to committing, but I want to see all the other schools and make the right decision."
Graham, who had 51 tackles last season and has 15 offers, was also thrilled about getting to see the school's agriculture department.
"That was huge for me because that is the field I cam going to major in," Graham said. "I got a chance to check out the department and also meet with one of the professors who would be one of my teachers. All in all, I have to say they have a very impressive athletic and academic program and it was just a fantastic visit."
The Grahams have also visited South Florida, South Alabama and Mississippi State in the past few days and left Fayetteville Sunday en route for Gainesville to visit Florida.
"I am also planning to visit Georgia Tech, Louisville and Kentucky, Alabama and North Carolina State all in the next couple of weeks," Graham said. "I am just trying to do all my homework on all these schools.
"After I do that, I will sit down with my brother and my family and we will make a decision on my five official visits," Graham said. "I just want to make sure I am making the right decision."
