Big receiver enjoys intense Florida camp

Cameron Stewart didn't know what to expect when he showed up at Florida's Will Muschamp Football Camp last weekend. What he got was a hard lesson or two but he took away a lot about what it is like to play SEC football. The Snellville (Ga.) Shiloh play maker came away with an appreciation of the University of Florida and the staff also liked what they saw in him.

"It was a very intensive camp," Cameron Stewart said by phone a day after his camp session. "It wasn't like a normal camp. The coaches actually helped you develop certain techniques to help you get better."

Stewart received a lot of technical teaching about the receiver position. He's a bog receiver (6-foot-3.5 and 190 pounds). The staff liked what they saw out of him and want to stay in communication with him.

"The coaches explained how to run things, what key details to do, how to have a better posture, they just helped me better myself," Stewart said. "They said I was a good kid and flat out play. They want me to keep in touch and come down for some games."

With 14 offers, the Gators seem close and he is currently committed to UCF.

"UCF stands out the most, because they have showed the most love," he said.

Florida definitely wants to get a big receiver in the class and Stewart is a prospect they will keep on throughout the process.
