McCleskey makes some noise in The Swamp

He spent a couple of days in Gainesville and got a feel for the place. Covinton (La.) St Paul's School receiver Jalen McCleskey also performed well during the Will Muschamp camp on Wednesday, the last day for campers this month. He left an impression with the staff and enough where they will continue to follow him and recruit him for the 2015 class.

Jalen McCleskey got to work a lot with new receiver coach Chris Leak on Wednesday and came away learning a great deal from the Gators former national champion quarterback.

"It went really well," McCleskey said directly following the camp. "I like the receiver coach, he taught me a lot. He worked on my press release and things I can work on to better myself."

McCleskey says his route running and his overall skill set are what make him a big recruit for college coaches. Offers from Southeastern, Oklahoma State, South Florida, Southern Miss, and Air Force are already in hand and more appear to be on the way.

With that in mind, he spent some time with the staff and got to see the Florida campus on his two day visit.

"I talked to Coach White and Coach Muschamp a lot as well," he said. "I think I did well and they were talking to me, so that was good.

"I got to see Florida. It was my first time here and was a great experience. The facilities are great, the weight room is nice… everything is nice."

After the interview, McCleskey headed up to the coaches' offices where the staff told him he is definitely one they will continue to recruit. He is also one we will continue to monitor here at Scout.
