As he watched on, he was wearing a t-shirt with his school emblazoned on it. Tyree St. Louis was having a great time.
"It feels great to see my friends and family play," St. Louis said Saturday from the sideline. "School here is amazing; it puts you in a college atmosphere. It makes you man up and take responsibility for yourself every day."
He's had a great run of college scholarship opportunities so far as well and the number keeps growing.
"I am over 20 offers which is what I wanted to reach," he said. "North Carolina was the latest."
Just off a bus trip with his friends from Tampa, St. Louis did visit Florida back in the early spring.
"I was there once, several months ago," he said of the Gainesville campus. "My uncle and I went for a visit. I am still looking around and have some interest."
The Gators offered St. Louis a while ago and are really wanting to see more of him in terms of him getting back to Florida.
"They like my size and how I play," he said of the Gators. "They think I will fit well in their offense. They are graduating most of their tackles and want to take 2-3 tackles in the class."
St. Louis plans on taking all five official visits he is allowed and says he will be making a public decision sometime in January. He says that he is just a natural player on the offensive line.
"I am very balanced and can run block and pass block both well," he said.
In a very good year for offensive linemen in the state of Florida, Tyree St. Louis is one of the best. To that end, we here at Scout will make sure to follow him attentively.
