Richardson down to eight

Earlier this month, 2015 Duncan (S.C.) Byrnes tight end/wide receiver Tavin Richardson narrowed his list to eight schools. Scout.com caught up with him for the latest.

A few weeks ago, Tavin Richardson trimmed his list to eight schools.

I'm down to Florida, Kentucky, Louisville, Nebraska, UCF, Virginia, Virginia Tech and Wake Forest," said the 6-foot-4, 206-pound Richardson. "All eight are great schools and I feel like I'd have a chance to play early at any of them."

His most recent visit was to Louisville.

"I went earlier this month and I really enjoyed it," he said. "I really liked the campus – it's really nice. It's also an amazing city. The coaching staff is also very cool.

"My favorite part was seeing Cardinal Towne. It's kind of like dorm rooms, but they have restaurants under them."

While on campus, he had a chance to speak with new head coach Bobby Petrino.

"He told me I have great size, great ball skills and great ability," Richardson said. "He also told me that he loves to throw the ball."

Next, he will visit Florida in July.

He will look to trim his list this fall.

"I might narrow my list during football season – probably to five," he said. "I'm not sure who will make that list, though. All eight schools are even."
