Max Garcia is one of 11 players from the Southeastern Conference that earned a spot on the list. The Rimington Award is given every year to the nation’s top center.
After transferring from Maryland and being forced to sit out for the 2012 season, Garcia started all 12 games last season at Florida. He spent most of his time at left tackle and left guard, but his versatility was an important part of the team after it dealt with multiple injuries throughout the year.
Before transferring from Maryland, Garcia started 12 games at left tackle as a sophomore in 2011 for the Terrapins but elected to transfer after that.
The winner of the award will be honored at the Rimington Trophy Presentation at the Rococo Theater in Lincoln, Neb., on January 17, 2015.
