Florida will bring quarterback Jeff Driskel, defensive end Dante Fowler, Jr. and cornerback Vernon Hargreaves III. The first two aren’t a surprise. They’re both experienced both and viewed as leaders on both sides of the ball.
Hargreaves should be on the list based on talent, but Florida coach Will Muschamp has taken only juniors or seniors with him in his previous three trips. Hargreaves will be the first sophomore to go with Will Muschamp.
For Driskel, it’s his second straight trip to Hoover. The Florida quarterback also went last year, making him the sixth player in Florida history to make two trips to SEC Media Days. He’s entering his third season as the starting quarterback after starting just three games last season before a broken leg cost him the remainder of the year.
Fowler was voted All-SEC Second Team last season but is poised for a breakout this year. In two years at Florida, Fowler his 80 tackles, 18.5 tackles for a loss and six sacks.
Media days begins on Monday, and Florida will hit the podium at 2:40 p.m.
