Vernon Hargreaves is the leader of the Florida secondary even if only a sophomore. As the leader he understands putting the emotions of finally getting a win last weekend behind the the team and getting ready for conference play.
Hargreaves is part of a secondary that consists of three true freshman and and two red-shirt freshman that will be getting a lot of work this year.
True freshman Corners Jalen Tabor and Quincy Wilson are automatically in the two-deep and are practicing and performing at a high level already. True freshman safety Duke Dawson had the first pick-six for the first Gator true freshman ever in his first game in the second half last week. Redshirt safeties Marcell Harris and Nick Washington are already jumping into the mix as well.
It's a quality group and Hargreaves is a little it surprised at the level they are able to perform at already.
The team leader spent some time with the Florida media this week and we have it for you at Fightin' Gators.
