Getting them on campus is such a big thing and the Florida Gators continue to do just that. Dozens of prospects will be in The Swamp Saturday when the Gators play Kentucky and some really big names, especially on offense are expected to be among the group sitting in the south end zone for the contest.
It will be a big time running back group headlined by a three-headed group that is committed elsewhere. 4-star running back Jordan Cronkrite of Miami (Fla.) Westminster Christian is a big sturdy back that is currently committed to Miami. The Florida staff has been on him to visit and he is finally making that trip up to Gainesville to watch them play. 4-star back Ray-Ray McCloud of Tampa (Fla.) Sickles committed to Clemson last month but has been pretty open about his recruitment. He is a big time play maker that is also expected in. Another Miami commitment is Dexter Williams of Winter Garden (Fla.) West Orange who missed a couple of chances to come up lately, should be in this Saturday. Of the younger crowd, 2017 4-star back Bruce Judson of Cocoa (Fla.) is a young teammate of current Gators commit and 4-star safety Chauncey Gardner. Judson is expected in attendance Saturday.
The only name receiver in the 2015 class we are expecting in Saturday is 3-star Daniel Imatorbhebhe of Suwanee (Ga.) North Gwinnett. Imatorbhebhe is currently committed to Missouri and is a talented prospect the Gators have continued to recruit. His younger brother, Josh Imatorbhebhe is in the 2016 class and is expected to make the ride with Daniel. 4-star Dredrick Snelson of Plantation (Fla.) American Heritage is a 2016 prospect and currently committed to Miami and is expected in. Snelson is an electric receiver and one of the best in South Florida regardless of class. One of the best names in the 2016 class is that of 3-star receiver Eddie McDoom he is a teammate of Dexter Williams at West Orange and in the 2016 class. A somewhat local prospect, Freddie Swain of Citra (Fla.) North Marion is another lightning quick receiver in the 2016 class that should be on campus Saturday.
Gator commitment and 3-star tight end Camrin Knight of Tallahassee (Fla.) Lincoln should be in attendance for the third week in a row. Along with Knight, Miami commitment and 3-star tight end Bowman Archibald of Dade City (Fla.) Pasco County is also expected in. Finally, one of the best tight ends in the class of 2016, 4-star Jacob Mathis of Tampa (Fla.) Berkley Prep plans on being in The Swamp.
The offensive line won’t be denied as well. Florida commitment Tyler Jordan of Jacksonville Bishop Kenny will be on campus for the umpteenth time in the last two months and he will have his recruiting hat on with the group in attendance. Number one on the list among the trenches will be 4-star offensive guard Jalen Merrick of New Smyrna Beach (Fla.), who will be looking intently at what is going on as he makes another trip to Gainesville. A trio of 2016 linemen expected in for the game include Stone Forsythe of Winter Garden (Fla.) West Orange, Baveon Johnson of Lake Gibson (Fla.) Lakeland, and Julian Santos of Tarpon Springs (Fla.) East Lake.
The highest rated player expected in attendance Saturday will be making another trip to Gainesville. 5-star defensive end CeCe Jefferson of Glen St. Mary (Fla.) Baker County has been to Gainesville the last three weeks and more than any other prospect in the 2015 class.
The secondary will have its star power as well. The Gators will be trying to make a huge impression on 4-star safety Tim Irvin of Miami (Fla.) Westminster Christian. Irvin is a super athletic player that coupled play several positions and besides being a star on offense and defense is also a big timer on special teams as a returner. Warner Robins (Ga.) 4-star safety Marquez Callaway is a big timer in the 2016 class and should make it in. The top corner on the board that is expected to be in attendance is 3-star Jeremy McDuffie of Snellville (Ga.) Shiloh. McDuffie told me late Thursday night he thinks he will make it to The Swamp to watch the Gators play.
