It was a mixed bag for the Florida Gators Saturday night. A hard fought game wasn't necessarily what was expected against the Kentucky Wildcats, but after a three overtime 36-30 win, that is exactly what the Gators got.
Along with the three overtime win which was a first for the Gators, Tevin Westbrook also caught a pass and plowed in for the first touchdown of his career as a Gator. The senior from South Florida was excited after the game as he should for his very important score that helped pave the way to victory.
Senior safety Jabari Gorman had six tackles and two pass breakups on a night where the defense played well for almost the entire first half, then struggled the last drive of the half and the entire third quarter. They fought back in the fourth quarter and stabilized the back end of the defense down the stretch.
It ended up being a gutsy win and Westbrook and Gorman talk about it here.
