A Florida Offer would mean a lot

Florida's interest has picked up in 2015 cornerback Joshua Norwood. The senior is committed to Cincinnati, but he visiting Florida Saturday, and the Gators have his attention...

Ohio State recently offered. Wisconsin before that. Could Florida be next?

The senior cornerback out of Valdosta, Ga. is committed to Cincinnati, but he is taking other visits and exploring other opportunities.

Saturday night Joshua Norwood was in The Swamp visiting the University of Florida. The Gators have shown heavy interest in recent weeks and if an offer comes, that could make things interesting.

"I have a lot of interest in Florida and if they offer me, it would mean a lot to me," said Norwood. "It would give me n opportunity to play big-time football close to home."

At this time, the 6-foot, 165 pounder remains committed to the Bearcats, but he has other visits in mind. Florida captured his attention Saturday and a return trip to Gainesville, Fla. is possible.

"Florida did not offer me, but when I talked to Coach [Tarvares] Robinson (Defensive backs), he told me that he was trying to keep me close to home, that he liked my film, and that Florida would be in touch with me this week.

"I thought the environment was great [Saturday night] and I like Florida. I am planning to visit other schools, but I have no dates. I know I will be visiting Ohio State and Wisconsin. If Florida offers, then that would be great. I would think about it."

Norwood is a three-star prospect on Scout and he has four interceptions this season. One was returned for a touchdown.
