With 100’s of big time prospects on hand Saturday, the Florida Gators were juggling a football game and a recruiting effort at the same time. SEC foe LSU was in town and Shaquille Quarterman was in the south end zone of The Swamp watching the action. Quarterman called it a “good game” as the Gators lost a close contest 30-27 in the final seconds behind an LSU 50-yard field goal.
The game was nip and tuck throughout and the Florida crowd was one of the best in recent memory. A night game had the fans amped before the contest and it stayed that way throughout. Quarterman certainly noticed that The Swamp was rocking Saturday.
“It was great,” he said about the atmosphere during the game, “I like the fan base. They were all going wild. I liked how the fans never gave up.”
Quarterman is currently committed to the Miami Hurricanes and most likely because he is a 2016 prospect and with so many prospects on hand, he didn’t get to spend time with the Florida coaching staff and despite the good time watching the game, he says said “not much” when asked if there is any difference in what he thinks of the Gators at this time.
The four-star backer has no plans to visit anywhere else at this time, but we will continue to keep tabs on him throughout the recruiting process. Stay tuned to Sout.com.
