Hollywood's Midday Matinee; Turned corner?

Hollywood Bob Redman pulls his sources and resources to check out the tenor of the people that control the football program and just what the Georgia game meant to Will Muschamp, this football team, and the rest of the season...

It is absolutely safe to say that Saturday's blowout 38-20 win against Georgia was a game changer in terms of the inevitability of a coaching change at the end of the 2014 season for the Florida football program.

Two weeks and just one game after the worst game in the Will Muschamp era, he backs it up with the best game in his 3.5 year coaching tenure in Gainesville.

An athletic director that was getting pressured to do what he didn't want to do, which is to fire a football coach during the season, now has that pressure relieved and can at least allow the season to play out before we see what direction the gators will be headed in for 2015.

There are a lot of numbers to crunch, and a lot of ideas to ponder about the rest of tis season. How tough is the rest of the schedule? How many games do they have to win to keep the status quo? There is an outside chance of winning the SEC East, if that doesn't happen, does that seal the fate of the current head coach.

No matter what you might think of those last scenarios, the fate of the rest of this season looks much better after Saturday than it did just three days ago. That gives us a lot to think and talk about.

We talk about all of that and more in the latest Hollywood Bob's Midday matinee, one of the more popular segments on our Gator site these days.
