There is little doubt that the players on the Florida football team love their current head coach. Will Muschamp will be missed. Tevin Westbrook is one of those and is a senior participating in his last home game of his career on Saturday.
Westbrook told the media on Tuesday that he is proud of the way his coach handled the entire situation and that he and his teammates want to win his last home game to send him out in style and because it is their last home game as well.
He and his teammates found out about the firing officially at a 1 pm meeting where Muschamp spoke to the team for a few minutes before Athletic Director Jeremy Foley spoke and showed his appreciation for what Muschamp was able to accomplish and that the people at Florida, not just the team, loved him as well.
Westbrook also talks about the friends he will be leaving behind shortly and his position mate Clay Burton who had a similar ride at Florida starting on defense and making the move to offense to close out their career.
With family on hand for most if not all the seniors, leaving The Swamp with a win Saturday is imperative for this class.
