Hollywood Bob's Midday Matinee (12/19)

The search continues for the coaching staff at the University of Florida. Head Coach Jim McElwain has only officially names defensive coordinator Geoff Collins to his staff and he continues to research and interview candidates. We continue our look at just who is being looked at and offer tidbits on several candidates on a daily basis.

Jim McElwain and the coaching staff at Colorado State did a terrific job turning around a program in dismal shape and did so in just three years. One key component of that was offensive coordinator David Baldwin. We discuss our thoughts on Baldwin as an option to be the next offensive coordinator at Florida.

Gator Great running back Robert Gillespie is a guy that has been sought after before by previous head coaches at Florida. The Tennessee Volunteer running back coach is a good one with excellent recruiting skills, we have a small update on what we are hearing about Gillespie.

Colorado State ends their season on Saturday. Could McElwain bring on a few of his former coaches at Florida. We think it is very possible and talk about it.

Alabama is the program most are striving to catch right now. There is talk of several Crimson Tide coaches that Florida could be after. We bring you another one that could be a real possibility.

Could Randy Shannon really want to come work at Florida? The former Miami Hurricane head coach is currently the linebacker coach at Arkansas and the talk is Florida is a place he might really want to be. We talk about that.

We were ready to write off current Florida defensive back coach Travaris Robinson but we are hearing some things that slow that thought down at least a little.

This is the kind of stuff we like to share with out members at Fightin' Gators, come on into the message boards and join us for the latest... Hollywood Bob's Midday Matinee
