Christian Pellage plans on visiting South Carolina on January 24th, but he also wants to visit Florida and possibly another school if he can fit it in. This all has to be worked out for the 6-foot-7, 305 pound offensive tackle.
“I am not sure yet, it depends on the schedule,” he said of trying squeeze in two schools for trips. “I am still thinking there might be another.”
He doesn’t know the date, but the Gators will get a visit and he has heard a lot from Florida since Jim McElwain took over as the head coach. McElwain along with offensive line coach Mike Summers went to see Pellage in the week before the dead period started and he believes that Summers will return to Florida and knows that the current offensive line coach believes exciting times are ahead.
“Summers said he thinks they will do great things there with Coach McElwain.
Pellage met McElwain one time and came away with a great impression.
“He’s a great guy, great personality,” the young man said of the new Gators coach. “I am pretty sure he will do great things at Florida. At first I didn’t know who he was, but I did some research and found he coached at Alabama and has a good coaching background.”
We will continue to keep on top of the recruitment of Christian Pellage here at Scout.com.
