Scout Spotlight: UF Prospect Jordan Cronkrite

Jim McElwain and the Florida Gators are in search of big time prospects at running back. Miami Westminster Christian bruiser Jordan Cronkrite is one they would really like to land.

With the early defection of Matt Jones to the NFL and the loss of senior Mack Brown to graduation, the running back position at Florida is slimmed down quite a bit.

Florida head coach Jim McElwain and running back coach Tim Skipper have eye balled some talent they would like to pursue and have their sights set on one down in Miami in Jordan Cronkrite.

Cronkrite had interest in Florida for a while last year, but that interest waned at the end of the year. Now there is a good chance that Cronkrite visits Florida in January.

"Cronkrite is one of the most consistent players in the state of Florida, he flat produces every game," Scout national analyst Jamie Newberg writes of Cronkrite in his profile. "More explosive than straight line fast, Cronkrite can run inside or outside and has the cutting ability to make defenders miss in space. Should develop into a threat catching the football out of the backfield. This is a player that fights to the whistle and will break some tackles along the way. Has also excelled in the defensive backfield."

Here is the Scout Spotlight video for Cronkrite, one of the top players in the state of Florida.
