Zuniga loved his visit to Florida.

Not a man of many words, Marietta (Ga.) Sprayberry defensive end Jabari Zuniga did answer a few important questions about his official visit to Florida this weekend. And it was a good weekend for the NC State commitment.

Jabari Zuniga surprised a lot of people when he scheduled an official visit at Florida for the weekend. The NC State commitment was off the radar for many teams after an early commitment to the Wolfpack, but the Florida staff, in search of some answers on their roster, found his film and really liked what they saw.

A very effective pass rusher, Zuniga spent the long weekend in Gainesville learning more about the school and the newly formed coaching staff under head coach Jim McElwain. He enjoyed the trip.

“It was great!!,” Zuniga exclaimed via text message.

At 6-foot-2 and 260 pounds, Zuniga possesses a great combination of power and quickness and the Florida coaches see him as a guy that would be good getting to the quarterback. “They see me as an edge rusher,” he said.

The Swamp is a magical place and the staff made sure they presented the Gators home stadium in the best light. When asked what stood out to Zuniga on his visit and his favorite time on the trip there was no hesitation.

“I loved the stadium,” Zuniga said. “My favorite part was when I went on the field.”

That is about all we could get from the soft spoken Zuniga but he did say he will be visiting “Arkansas next week” and “I don’t have a timetable” for a final decision on the school he picks.

Until then he remains committed to NC State and we of course will follow his recruitment all the way through signing day here at Scout.com.
