Gators offer Daniel and he will visit

It is no secret that the University of Florida is in search of offensive linemen in the 2015 class and they need guys that can play relatively early. On Wednesday they headed to Oklahoma and offered 6-foot-5, 297 pound guard Riley Daniel a scholarship and now the big man will be visiting on the last visit weekend of the signing period.

We caught up with Riley Daniel late Sunday for just a few questions about the new offer and the plan to visit. Florida’s offensive line coach Mike Summers extended the offer and Riley was quite pleased with the invitation to play in Gainesville.

"I think it’s awesome,” Daniel said of the offer. “I’m looking into it for sure.”

Riley says he knows what he is looking for when he visits Florida on the weekend of the 30th.

“Just seeing how well I fit with the guys and the coaches and check out the town,” he said.

Right now he says he favors “Texas Tech and Baylor” and so the Gators have some work to do. No doubt they will show him the huge need in the trenches and try and put on a show for the monster lineman.

Stay tuned to FightinGators.com as we continue to cover Riley and the rest of the Gators class of 2015 prospects.
