Cowart leaves early

As first reported on our message boards, five-star defensive end Byron Cowart from Seffner Armwood has left early from his official visit with Florida to head home.

In Gainesville less than 12 hours due to a basketball game last night, Byron Cowart says his mother was called in to work and can't stay longer.

The super talented Under Armour All-American MVP has been a little distant with the new Florida staff since it was put together and has drawn closer and closer to Auburn since they hired Will Muschamp to be the defensive coordinator. The former Florida head coach has made Cowart a priority for his staff along with several other prospects he was recruiting while at Florida.

There is little doubt that the Gator staff will continue to recruit Cowart, but the short visit doesn't bode well with them getting the face to face time they were wanting to spend with the young man.

Come talk more about this on our "insider" message board at this LINK.
