And while the early returns aren’t showing much, Tyler Jordan believes the weekend in Gainesville went very well and that good news is coming from this weekend.
“It was a good weekend, there were a lot of big name guys here,” he said. “I think that a lot of those guys were pretty energetic about the weekend. They all had a good time.”
There were two offensive linemen present this weekend and Jordan got to spend time with each.
Ivey showed up at Florida with his girlfriend and her parents this weekend and it turns out she wants to see what Florida has to offer academically and maybe attend the same school as the big man.
“I think they want to go to school together,” Jordan said. “It seemed like it was more of a visit kind of built for her than Martez because Martez has been here a lot already. They took him and her to all the academic stuff together. They also found out her academic interests and sat her down about that stuff as well.”
“I think the interaction with the coaches was all just normal stuff. I think he had a great time. He is usually quiet, but he was asking me why I committed, when, and stuff like that… trying to get a different perspective. His girlfriend’s parents were asking me that stuff too.”
Jordan was just part of a double digit contingent of prospects on hand and said that a list that included linebacker Rayshad Jackson, running backs Jordan Scarlett and Jordan Cronkrite, and others seemed to really be taking to the overall environment.
“We all know about Rayshad,” he said of the linebacker that publicly committed earlier. “I feel good about Scarlett, Cronkrite, of course Ivey. I think Steven Clark is very interested. I think he seems very close to his family. I feel good about Francois as well.”
Time will tell with the rest of this crew, but we all know Jordan will be there to lend his support to make it happen if he can.
