Jabari Zuniga commits to Florida

The Florida Gators picked up a big commitment from a much needed position on Monday. Jabari Zuniga told the Gator staff that he was committing to the University of Florida.

They say better late than never and a week and a day after his official visit to Florida was over, Marietta (Ga.) Sprayberry defensive end Jabari Zuniga has decided to become a Florida Gator.

Fresh off of a visit to Arkansas, Zuniga was planning on announcing tonight for whatever program he chose. Florida head coach Jim McElwain was there earlier during an in-home visit and it must have been enough to put the monster tackler over the top for the Gators.

A terror off the edge, Zuniga uses his 6-foot-3, 260 pound frame to get to the backfield amazingly quick and is just a piece of what the staff hopes to put together along the line of scrimmage.

Zuniga marks the 10th commitment for the 2015 class, a class that is struggling to get some momentum. With two commits in the last two days, maybe the Gators can find some of that momentum to carry over into the week and into signing day on Feb. 4.

Stay tuned as we try and get in contact with Zuniga and keep up with his recruitment for the rest of the final 10 days.
