Two more visitors for the weekend

Head coach Jim McElwain has been able to pull off a few surprises so far as far as getting high profile prospects to consider the Gators and it appears another couple of nice ball players were added to the weekend visitor list for official visits.

Coming in unnoticed last night was Jacksonville Ed White two-way star Javarius Davis. Davis is rated as a 4-star cornerback on Scout, but so far the staff has told them they want him as a receiver. He has been hesitant with considering Florid because he says he wants to play on defense. We will find out from Davis after his visit what finally made him make the short trip over from Jacksonville to visit the Gators.

On Saturday, lineman Luc Bequette, a Cal commit, made the trip to Gainesville for an official visit. Bequette hails from Little Rock (Ark.) and in SEC Country while being committed to a Pac-12 school. He is also a two-way player and although we think it is likely the Gators brought him in to recruit on offense, he very well could be looked at as a defensive tackle where Scout has him rated as a three-star prospect.

While Davis is not committed, Bequette joins a slew of prospects that Florida is trying to flip from their commitments to other schools. At every position on the roster this is the case and it should make for a wild and whacky finish to signing day, just four days away.

Stay tuned as we follow up these visits and the other 15 on campus on Sunday and also get after all of the rest of the recruiting news that will be coming fast and furious over the next few days.
