Callaway enjoys Florida visit

The need for play makers on offense at Florida is without question. One of the best in the southeast, is receiver Antonio Callaway of Miami (Fla.) Booker T Washington. Callaway spent the weekend at Florida on an official visit and came away liking the trip.

He has been a big target for the Florida gators for quite some time. While the interest from his direction has come and gone, Antonio Callaway did make the trip from Miami to Gainesville this weekend to get a glimpse of what the school and the new program under the direction of head coach Jim McElwain has to offer.

“They trip was good,” he said. “I enjoyed it a lot. It was good to get back to Gainesville.”

Not really wanting to say much more, Callaway did say that after the visit with Florida, he has three teams of interest and knows when he will have a final decision.

“My three teams are even, Florida, West Virginia, and Miami,” he said. “I plan on making my decision on signing day… Wednesday.”

The Gators need a boost at the receiver position and the likes of Callaway would certainly allow that. Stay tuned as we continue to follow his recruitment.
