Forsythe just waiting the process out

Winter Garden (Fla.) West Orange is home to several top prospects every year these days, and one of the best in the state at offensive tackle is 6-foot-6 , 300 pounder Stone Forsythe. With a name like that, you would expect him to be a wall of a lineman and that he is.

Stone Forsythe participated in the Nike Football Opening qualifying event in the Orlando area this past weekend and was humble about his time at the event, but says he learned a lot. He talked to shortly after about his recruitment.

“I got an offer the other day from ECU,” Forsythe said. “I have six now, New Mexico State, Kentucky, Duke, Boston College, UNC Charlotte, and ECU. Out of that group probably Kentucky and Duke stand out.”

The Wildcats are big for him and mark his first offer from the nation’s best football conference.

“I like Kentucky because they are in the SEC,” he said. “It’s my overall goal, I just like the SEC.”

He’s also a fan of the ACC, but he loves what Duke can do him off the field.

“Duke is about the education,” he said.

The Gators are recruiting Forsythe and like him. They want to make sure he makes the short two hour trip up for a visit sometime soon.

Florida is trying to get me up there and look at facilities,” he said. “I was hoping for them to announce a Junior Day and then I will go up there. I talk to different coaches up there on Twitter. They just say they want me to get up there.”

He just returned from a Junior Day at Florida State nd enjoyed himself.

“I went to FSU Junior Day and that was pretty good,” he said. “Coach Trickett said there might be an offer potentially but I have to wait it out.”

Stay tuned to as we continue to follow the recruitment of Stone Forsythe.
