Wiley visits the Gators

Adel (Ga.) Valwood receiver Maysoe Wiley visited Gainesville on Saturday and came away impressed with what he saw. At 6-foot-4 and 204 pounds, Wiley will be a target the Gators continue to look at this spring and into the fall. Wiley talks about his time at Florida.

Maysoe Wiley is a big target at receiver and something the Gators are looking at a great deal in this recruiting class. He stopped in Gainesville Saturday and watched practice under new head coach Jim McElwain and got to meet receiver coach Kerry Dixon in the process as well.

“It was good,” Wiley said about the visit. “I enjoyed it and I liked all of the coaches. I especially liked Coach Dixon, he is cool.”

Coach McElwain has vowed to make things faster and make his players think out there this spring. The pace has been a constant talk among prospects that have watched practice. Wiley said the same.

“It was fast paced and they throw the ball around a lot more this season,” he said. “The coaches’ intensity stood out to me the most.”

Wiley says the Gators are interested in him as a prospect and want to come watch him play.

“They really like me as a person,” he said. “They like how I play and are very glad that I came. I think they are going to come down in the spring.”

Wiley says that he is planning on visiting Florida again.
