Florida Video Focus: First half of spring

With Jim McElwin's first spring practice over half way done, Fightin' Gators' Bob Redman and Scout's Amy Campbell break down the important issues and happenings with this version of the Gators.

It was widely known that the Florida defense would be ahead of the offense as the spring started. Therefore it was likely a good thing that the offense got somewhat of the upper hand in the spring's first scrimmage on Saturday.

Florida has a lot of questions to answer on offense and the fact they could get some things done against what should be a stout defense in the first go around is a really promising.

If there is a concern about the defense it is at the linebacker position. Certainly they don't have every other position set yet, but the lack of numbers has been a point of concern this spring.

Those lack of numbers are even more severe along the offensive line. Just seven scholarship linemen are on hand for the spring, it is such an issue that they will likely not have a traditional spring game. That said, they are working through that as well.

Finally, Amy and Bob discuss the five most prominent players on the team right now. The guys that will be key factors in the success of the Gators in the 2015 season.
