With a decision coming sometime before his senior season starts, the 6-foot and 172 pound Kristian Fulton stays in constant contact with the Florida staff and especially with defensive back coach Kirk Callahan who sees a little of Gator All-American Vernon Hargreaves in the young man.
“They hit me up every other day,” Fulton said. “They just check up on me, let me know that I'm a main priority to them. Coach Cal said I could be the next great Gator to wear number one.”
Fulton has taken to Callahan a little bit.
“He’s a good coach, he put guys in the league at UCF,” Fulton said. “He's a cool guy to talk to and be around.”
He also knows a bit about the history of defensive backs at Florida.
“They're playmakers, always well coached and great athletes,” he said without pause. “It has to be a privilege to be a part of that.”With his collegiate decision coming in the next four months, Fulton says he plans on getting to
Gainesville to visit the program and the staff in person before that decision comes.
“Just to meet the coaches in person,” he said. I want to get an even better relationship with them and feel for the campus.”
The Gators continue to recruit the best prospects in America. Outside the comfort zone in the state of Louisiana, Kristian Fulton is one that has shown a sincere interest in Florida and the Gators would certainly like to show him that Gainesville is the place to be.
Stay tuned as we continue to follow this recruitment on Scout.com.
