If there was a more pressing need for true freshmen to come in and contribute on the Florida football team than on the offensive line at Florida this year, I don't know anyone that could tell you when and what that was.
That is why getting a player like Tyler Jordan on board early is such a big thing.
Jordan was able to finish classes at Bishop Kenny a little early and will enroll in classes on Monday with Florida. The extra six weeks of classes, conditioning, and training will allow him to get comfortable in every facet of being a college football player.
With a unit that had six healthy scholarship bodies in the spring, Jordan will be able to come in and immediately start training with his teammates as well as meet with offensive line coach Mike Summers in order to prepare himself with the plays and techniques he will need.
Of course strength coach Mike Kent will also be able to utilize the time with Jordan who plans on putting on an extra 10 pounds of muscle before the season starts.
We caught up with Jordan after finding out about his secret and here is the last interview you will see from the young man before officially starting his Gator career. Watch the video and you will see how excited he is to get started.
