Kristian Fulton with summer visit to Florida

The Florida Gators are in the market for four cornerbacks in the 2016 class and would like to get the best. That’s why they are venturing all the way out to Metairie, Louisiana for four-star athlete Kristian Fulton.

The Florida staff made the trip out West this spring to watch Kristian Fulton in person. Assistant Tim Skipper dropped by the school and saw what he wanted out of the young man. Assistant Kirk Callahan coaches the defensive backs and already knew that Fulton has all the traits they are looking for in a corner, including, speed, length, quickness, and tenacity. Director of Player Personnel Drew Hughes also makes sure to stay on top of the prime target. He even talks a bit with head coach Jim McElwain from time to time.

There is a little doubt Fulton is a priority.

“It was Coach Skip that came by,” he said of the visit to watch practice. “It was my first time talking to him. I talk to Coach Callahan most of the time. I also talk to Skip on Twitter, Coach Hughes, and Coach Mac.

“They tell me that they are fired up about me and that I am a big priority for them.”

Fulton has maintained he will visit Florida for some time now and that hasn’t changed. He has a plan once he gets there.

“I don’t have an exact date yet, but will visit sometime in July,” he said. “I just want to get to know the coaching staff more and get to see the facilities.”

With a decision expected before the season, Fulton has yet to narrow his list of schools he would possibly sign with in February.

“No top list yet, I still want to visit more schools,” he said.
