Early in his sophomore year Dallas Baker faced a personal defining moment in his career with a penalty in the Tennessee game that would end up costing the game for the Gators. It was a season of great controversy that would eventually cost his head coach his job.
Under the direction of Urban Meyer and company, Dallas Baker flourished. With 39 catches for 619 yards and six touchdowns in his first two seasons, he posted 112 catches for 1,617 yards I his final two years.
Baker’s 151 catches in his career sits fifth all-time in Florida history, while his 2,236 yards sits sixth all-time.
For a guy that could have gone either way after a somewhat shaky start, Dallas Baker holds a prominent spot in Florida football history.
