Andrew Mike arrived last year all the way from Tucson, Arizona and with a little bit of an attitude to be great with him.
The redshirt freshman offensive tackle was a very pleasant surprise for Mike Summers through the fall and there were a few times where the staff thought about inserting him and losing his redshirt because of injuries.
Alas, they withheld playing the young man and now he still has four years to play at Florida. At 6-foot-6 and 302 pounds he has the long body and long arms the coaches covet at the position.
He wasn’t listed with the first unit offensive line during the spring game, but was the anchor for the other squad. He will fight for a starting spot in the fall with the newcomers and the returning linemen at the position and expect Mike to see extensive playing time in the fall.
