Gators to face Oklahoma State

Florida added another difficult non-conference game to its schedule for 2015-16.

The Gators will face Oklahoma State on December 19 in the Orange Bowl Classic at the BB&T Center in Sunrise, Fla. Game time will be announced at a later date.

Florida is 14-2 all-time in the Orange Bowl Classic and will take a five-game winning streak in the event into this year’s matchup with the Cowboys. In those five games, Florida has beaten two Big 12 opponents in Kansas State and Texas A&M, the year before the Aggies joined the Southeastern Conference.

Last year in the event, the Gators beat Wake Forest 63-50.

Oklahoma State went 18-14 last season and earned a 9-seed in the NCAA Tournament. Florida has won both meetings with the Cowboys, and this will be the first meeting between the teams since the Gators won 77-65 in the 2000 NCAA Tournament’s Elite Eight, pushing the program to its second all-time Final Four berth.
