Gators officially add JUCO transfer

Florida coach Michael White officially added another player to his roster on Tuesday.

The Gators added junior college transfer Justin Leon, who will be on campus for the 2015-16 season and has two years of eligibility remaining.

As a junior college All-American at Shawnee (Ill.) Community College, Leon averaged 21.5 points and 10 rebounds per game while shooting 50.4 percent from the field. He was one of four players in Division I NJCAA to rank in the top 20 in points (16th) and rebounds (20) last season.

As a freshman, Leon scored 15.3 points per game and averaged 6.2 rebounds while shooting 56.3 percent from the field.

Leon, who originally played at Conway (Ark.) High School, is the fourth player in Florida’s 2015 recruiting class, joining guard Kevaughn Allen, forward Kevarrius Hayes and forward Keith Stone.
