Report: Gators WR Bailey arrested

The news of the day got worse for Florida after it was reported by the Tampa Bay Times that sophomore receiver Alvin Bailey is in jail in Tampa for not appearing in court over traffic citations.

According to the report, Alvin Bailey was jailed at 5:07 p.m. on Saturday and had an outstanding warrant issued on June 9 when he missed a scheduled arraignment date for two citations for “driving with a suspended license”.

Bailey has been on campus for a little over two years now. He redshirted as a freshman in 2013 and got on the field in 2014 while not seeing any playing time. He is / was on course for a shot in the rotation this year, but what kind of playing time had yet to be decided.

The report on Bailey comes on the same day that information was released that Florida sophomores Adam Lane and Caleb Brantley skipped on a restaurant and bowling tab from a Gainesville establishment. The two are facing second degree misdemeanor charges on the incident.

Not a good day in Gainesville.

According to police records, Bailey was released at approximately 10 p.m. Saturday night.
