Florida the dream school for Bowes

Participating in the first OLine/ DLine Saturday Stars camp, Cody Bowes impressed.

Cody Bowes is a 6-foot-4, 270 pound lineman from St. Thomas Aquinas in Ft. Lauderdale. The big lineman already sports four offers from Wake Forest, Temple, Appalachian State, Tulane, and Syracuse. On his first visit to Florida Bowes said he wanted to “get a feel for how Florida works and see how it goes”.

After the camp, Bowes felt like he did well and impressed in front of Florida offensive line coach Mike Summers.

“It went well I dominated,” he said. “I don’t understand how they didn’t offer me. (Coach Summers) liked me. I think he’s a great coach. I talked to some of the players and they said he knows what he’s talking about and he can really get you to the next level.”

“I was undefeated during the 1-on-1’s, He told me I did a good job and he hopes to see more of me.”

In the end, Bowes said he enjoyed the total visit to Florida and he plans to be back soon.

“It was good,” he said. “I love Florida. I love the town. For sure it is my dream school. I will be back in a few weeks. I want to try and catch the Tennessee game.”
